Who Are We?

Human Powered Future is a cutting edge start-up located in the University City Area of Philadelphia, and sponsored by Drexel University, as well as the Pennsylvania Community and Economic Development through a grant facilitated by State Representative James Roebuck. Our mission is two-fold:

• Deliver a cost-effective (cheap!) transportation solution for the residents of University City and the surrounding area.
• Provide an environmentally and health conscious transportation option: Our solution has merely 1-5% of the CO2 emissions of a standard gasoline-powered taxi (reducing global warming), can save up to 20 teraJoules of energy per vehicle per year compared to a gas taxi (that's a lot!), and also has an added side effect of reducing obesity for potential drivers. Nice!

We are now in operation to serve you! Our vehicle line-up will be stationed outside of the 30th Street Station (at 31st and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, the west side of 30th Street Station), and they are waiting to take you to your destination.
